Wawa CMS

This is the main project I’ve worked on during my experience at Wawa. It’s the CMS or central project that connects with all the subsystems and mobile apps the company uses. I’ve developed several functionalities within the app, such as fund transfers between users, among others. However, my biggest contribution to this project has been the implementation of Cypress test suites and the integration of these tests with GitHub Actions to ensure the quality and integrity of the project before it’s released to production.

LGC Web / IOS / Android

This is a hybrid project developed with pure React Native, dedicated to clients who subscribed to protections within the LGC system (which you can also see in my portfolio). The app allowed users to manage their protections, renew them, file claims, purchase additional protections, contact the company, and chat with an AI assistant. It was my first app fully developed from scratch and launched for both Google Play Store (Android) and App Store (iOS). It’s worth noting that most of the backend wasn’t developed by me, but I did work on several key functionalities, such as the integration of payment gateways, the push notification system for all three platforms (Web, Android, and iOS), the AI chat, and more.

If I can recall a project that presented a significant challenge for me, it was a betting website, also known as a Parlay, for placing bets on match results and certain player statistics from real sports. This project was developed using TypeScript with highly optimized structures. I worked on it while I was at Kromaticos, as it was a project that came with quite difficult requirements to achieve within the estimated time. The challenges involved using unknown and low-budget sports APIs, which were very complicated to work with due to their poor documentation. We had to use the provided endpoints, and at times, to generate certain results, we had to perform data analysis, highly recursive calculations, and very intensive operations on both our database and the API, which increased its cost significantly, among other issues. Nevertheless, we managed to develop the project and delivered a very beta version of the system, but it worked. It’s also worth mentioning that I implemented the payment gateway and user subscription plans using Stripe in this system.

I collaborated on a project during my experience while working at ModuLLC. I developed many interface refactorizations and implemented small functions such as showing multiple locations on the same map. Once, I successfully upgraded from Node 14 and React 17 to Node 18 and React 18.2. What really stands out about this project is that I designed many views that can be seen on the screen with some really beautiful animations and effects.

I worked with an amazing team, improving my TypeScript knowledge and specialized in NestJS with Prisma as the ORM, along with GraphQL and MongoDB, which became my primary tech stack. I focused heavily on mastering these tools in 2024. In the second half of the year, I expanded my skills into QA and Cypress testing pipelines.
